Colorado's Traction Law can require tire chains or snow tires on I-70 at a moment's notice. Unique to this mountainous state: uphill traffic has right-of-way on narrow mountain roads.

Before you drive

Colorado's Graduated Driver Licensing program requires 50 hours of supervised driving. The state uses a points system where accumulating 12 points in 12 months leads to license suspension. Insurance minimums are 25/50/15.
